Leadtime Offset and the Configurator, Anyone trying to emulate this?

We are a company trying to implement the E1 Configurator.  In discrete manufacturing, the BOM includes a leadtime offset field per component to allow delivery of that component before or after the start date of the WO.  The configurator Q/P rules do not contain this field to allow us this same flexibility.  Are there any other configurator users out there who have developed a work around for this without modifying code?
