LCM, Item Cost and invoice Price Variance

Dear All,

How to update Item cost for Organization Item LCM is enabled. Where PO item cost is different than Invoice Item Cost.

We created discussion in costing community and We raised SR# SR 3-8717175931 : Transfer Invoice Variance to Inventory Valuation to address the issue but the answer is not satisfying us as accounting and business wise.

We created this question here since the final answer is that this is the standard behaviour for LCM organization.
