How to show subinventory and locator on a work order for an item?

Is it possible to show the subinventory and locator for items put on a work order (allocations have been turned off) so the inventory people will know where to go to get the item without having to look it up. Mechanic can go to storeroom and give the stores person the item number, subinv, and locator. These are items the planner would flag has being needed for the operation and would show as required on the work order. Once the item has been issued to the work order, the subinventory and locator populate. Can these fields populate when the item
