inconsistent data in items

Hi All,

Need help/advice on the below issue.

A certain customer segment change( Intern to Extern) was performed a day before the 1st of the month billing at 23:30 hrs .

i have observed that

it has resulted item buckets which had their gl_segment split between extern and intern ( extern has a tax and intern has no tax ) for the subsequent two months after the date on which the change was done and then on from the subsequent 3rd month all the item buckets are just .Extern .

is the above scenario got to do with creating future item buckets as part of the billing functionality ?
