Item Description refresh in a BPA / Release

THere is a BPA with items on its lines. There are releases created out of this BPA. Later a few item descriptions changed, however, the new release still get the old description from the BPA. I am not able to refresh the item description as the lines are greyed out in the BPA.

Any suggestions?
