Exadata mount points

Sirs,

Good day!

We're new in administering Oracle EXADATA (X2-2) server and since we're not yet familiar yet to it's file system,
I want to ask if we can utilize its storage just like a Linux file system (mount points) in order to store a large number of text files (.csv).

Is it possible to use a traditional Linux file system (ordinary mountpoint) as a workaround?

Since we would temporarily used its storage to save (via ftp) a volume of third-party flat files.

Please validate if we could just execute the Unix "mkdir" command (as root) so that we can have a directory for those mentioned files.

Howdy, Stranger!
