Replaced a faulty part ? Make sure the Fault Management Architecture (FMA) log is clear
After Fault Management has faulted a component in your system, and that faulty component has been replaced, FMA may need to be notified (i.e FMA will have to "repair" the component manually)
Automatic repairs do not apply to all systems. Components which do not provide a serial number require the fault to be manually cleared.
Such components requiring manual clearing are the CPU, fans and PCI cards. Other components such as memory, motherboard, service processor and disks have their faults correctly cleared when replaced (subject to known product issues and the correct part replacement)
Legacy Sun AMD platforms and Intel x50 based platforms do not require the fault clearing also as the error is not persistent across reboots.
