Not able to cancel sales order line which is in entered status in R12

Hi,

I am trying to cancel the sales order line which is in entered status but it is not happening. when i try to cancel only the quantity became Zero and line status is still in Entered Status.

I was able to cancel in 11i but not in R12.

Can you please help what change in R12 is causing not to cancel.
