Hi all,

I am trying to identify the "physical disk" used by one ASM disk.

We are running the Oracle Database 11.2.0.4 on a Red Hat Linux 5.5 with the following ASMLIB libraries on a multipath configuration

[root@srvmtszrh036 dev]# rpm -qa | grep asm

oracleasm-2.6.18-238.5.1.el5-2.0.5-1.el5

oracleasmlib-2.0.4-1.el5

oracleasm-support-2.1.8-1.el5

If I query the device asociate a to a ASM disk I get the following information:

[root@srvmtszrh036 /]# oracleasm querydisk -d ASMRAC_B_ORAFILES00_100G

Disk "ASMRAC_B_ORAFILES00_100G" is a valid ASM disk on device /dev/dm-89[253,89]

But If I execute the "multipath -ll" command on this environemnt I can not find any device with the ID dm-89

Howdy, Stranger!
