Is it allowed to have a physical standby on higher PSU?

We are running 10.2.0.5.8 for both primary and physical standby and is planning to apply PSU 10.2.0.5.14 on physical standby at first and have it run for a month to confirm the stability.  Is this possible to have a physical standby run on higher PSU?  Thanks
