Upgrade to 12.2.3 and Interoperability Notes for 11i and 11gR2

I'm upgrading from 11i to 12.2 to 12.2.3.  Going from a 32-bit Windows server to a 64-bit Windows server.

First I need to upgrade database to 11gR2.  When looking through the Interoperability Notes for 11i and 11gR2, there ends up being a TON of patches upon patches upon patches for this. But I will not be using 11i with 11gR2. I just need to upgrade the database to 11gR2 and then move/convert it to a 64-bit server where I will upgrade to R12. So do I need to follow any of the 11i Interoperability instructions? Will I need any of this to upgrade to 12.2 and then eventually to 12.2.3?
