Physical standby

Hi Gurus,

I want to use physical standby as upgradation method ,can anyone please let me know the exact steps needed from 10g to 11g using physical standby on two different clusters.Any specific things that should be kept in mind.

1)Install binaries on the destination cluster(10g)

2)setup standby using rman

3)have standby sync with primary

4)install  RAC 11g binaries in separate home on destination server

On day of cutover:

4a)make sure the last archivelog is applied and stop log shippig on primary.

4b)shutdown primary on source

5)activate standby

6)run pre-upgrade tool from new home

7)fix any anything that is reported from the above output from the tool.

Howdy, Stranger!
