zfs rpool snapshot

how we can take a recursive snapshot of rpool(zfs) if there is no space in rpool for the snapshot.

is there any option to directly send the snapshot to nfs volume or tape.

As i can understand ,by default snapshot will save in .snapshot in rpool.

is there option to change the default saving location of snapshot.

If we are taking individually snapshot of rpool filesystem, will we can sucessfully restore rpool in disaster.
