'Passed serial_number(&serial_number) violates uniqueness with in inventory items'.

Hi All,

When our users are creating item instance in IB for two serial numbers (G201D37024 and G201D37008), they are getting error as 'Passed serial_number(&serial_number) violates uniqueness with in inventory items'.

After due analysis, we found that these serial numbers are already there in IB but with expired instance status and due to this users cannot make new instances for this.

Can we apply datafix provided in oracle SR 3-8003312701 to unexpire item instances and then update the owners accordingly for these serials.

Find attached error message coming in IB.
