Gather Schema Statistics concurrent request

Hi!

I am trying to improve Database Performance by looking at different parameters for gathering schema statistics.

The plan is to, firstly, gather schema statistics with option gather and, secondly, with auto_sample_size and gather auto.

I want to know how works auto_sample_size parameter. Does it works with Gather and/or Gather Auto option?

I have applied Patch 13443215 for enabling auto_sample_size parameter.

DB version - 11.2.0.2.

Application EBS - 12.1.3.
