In Transit Quantity for WHD

What is the industry best practice if a retailer is receiving containers meant for another store in the warehouse delivery receiving function? As such ORSIM (the store system) will not allow this container to be received out of the box.


The In Transit quantity for the items in the container is incremented in the store meant to receive this delivery.

Should this be handled only through a return to DC and then new delivery to the correct store? Or is this just pure customization to store system?

Please let me know of your experience (s) with this issue.
