Securing Projects Inquiry by Project Type

Hello,

We have a custom responsibility that is an 'inquiry-only' for projects information (Expenditure & Project Status Menu).  What I'd like to do is restrict this responsibility so it cannot query anything with a certain Project Type.  Does anyone know how the best/supported method to make this happen?
