SupportedMobileBrowser Parameter Length

I'm curious about the length of the parameter for SupportedMobileBrowser used in the SalesmObjMgr_enu component.  According to bookshelf, the setup allows for additional mobile devices to be added to this parameter.  The issue that I see is that there seems to be some truncation that happens if I append to this parameter, so it is fixed length.  If the client environment needs to have access to 5 additional types (as an example) of devices, as well as the default, there is no way to add these without removing other entries.  So what happens if we need to also support those
