Configurator 9.1 and item alias

We have been working with configurator since 2003 and have thousands of configurated items in our system

we use multi level configurated items and in our manufacturing process, a parent configurated item could use a standard or configured child for a "kind" of part based on top parent atributes

we have them implemented in the way that the user only need to populate values at the top parent item, then this item insert his configurated childs, and the child auto populate their values taking the proper values from the parent attributes

in order to acheve this, we have been forced to double or n-code an item for each posible instance of it as child on the same parent
