Siebel upgrade from 8.0.0.11 Public Sector to 8.2.2.4

Upgrade Gurus,

I am going to support a customer who is planning an upgrade and I would like to get clarification for few of the queries.

1. I understand 8.0.0.11 -> 8.2.2.4 would be a one step upgrade but still need to reconfirm.

2. Can someone point me to document for pre-upgrade tasks for 8.2, similar to 

3. For upgrade to 8.2.2.4, do we need a seperate siebel test environment on version 8.2.2.4?  Can we install base 8.2 environment (without patching to 8.2.2.4) and start the upgrep process? And apply patch 8.2..2.4 later on?

4. We are on HPUX B 11.23 and Oracle 10.2.0.4.  Is Database upgarde also required for Siebel version upgrade to 8.2.2.4?
