OPM Standard costing - Advise needed

Hi

In our system Profile option set up is - GMF: Use Only Costing Validity Rules for Cost Rollup - Yes for the past 4 years from implementation

Can we change it to "No" now so that as per user guide it will consider Batches of recipes without cost validity rule first and then Batches of recipes with cost validity rule too?
Is it advisable to change now since we have recipes with as well as without cost validity rule?
