Quick hire/Re-hire

Our HR department is looking at using the quick hire process (P060116Q).  When entering a re-hire, the new information entered in quick hire is over written by the information from their previous employment.  Does anyone know of a way to keep the new information instead of having the old job code, rate of pay, etc brought in?  Thanks!
