Veritas DMP as ASM Disks

11.2.0.4 / RedHat6

IHAC who is looking to use Veritas DMP ( w/o VxVM ) as ASM Disks.

As per Note  294869.1 seems  Veritas DMP needs ( or at least used to ) to have  VxVM.

But as per   http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO74693  , now, seems Veritas DMP can be configured without VxVM and used as ASM Disk.

I would request our community members to share their experience on this set up, that is

  + Veritas DMP without VxVM ( veritas Volume Manager )

  + Used as ASM Disks

does it work just fine or any issue or config-best-practices. ?
