Can we populate the date type parameter in OBIEE with already stored date value in database?

Scenario: We are creating a new report and our requirement is that we need to run the report for the specific date range and the date on which this report runs should be stored in database,we are using event triggers to store system date (whenever the report runs) in database and now we want that when we run the report next time then the FROMDate parameter should be populated with the date we stored earlier in database(date on which the report was last printed) .In addition to this, the user should be able to select the date from calendar for
