single primary - rac dataguard

hello all

company is plannig to migrate some of their core databases to rac (including new machines, storage and all that new stuff needed)

one of the approaches is using a dataguard in order to migrate the database to the new machine.

my doubt is about to configure a primary single instance with a rac dataguard, is that possible??

all documents, blogs, etc show both  the rac primary with single dataguard or rac primary and rac dataguard.
