Repair Order DFF(Descriptive Flex Field) is Grade out in R12 when the Repair Order is closed

Hi,

We are upgrading our instance to R12.1.3. As per business requirement, we are updating the Repair Order DFF (with warranty comments) only when repair order is closed in 11i. But, in R12 the DFF itself is grade out(unable to add/remove/update the comments in DFF). Requesting any one to help on this issue.
