Oracle financial close manager integrating with Oracle EBusiness R12

We are not yet on Fusion. We have R12. Can we still integrate FCM with Oracle EBusiness R12 for like running concurrent requests during a close schedule?

If yes, could you please supply the documentation depicting this feature?

*Note: we are implementing FCM in November mainly for the ARM feature but now the client wants to really consider also using the close management.
