Upgrade question

Hi All,

we are in the process of upgrading our finance database application....The database will not be upgraded in this process.. as part of the upgrade there will be additional objects created in the database.,for which we have done enough test to fix performance issues at TST,DEV and UAT level to ensure smooth cutover..

version : 11203

my questions  is,.Generally what should one  backup in terms of performance(eg: parameters,sqlplan,statistics..) from the existing database.

please give your advice.
