Allow duplicate lots or not

Hello All,

We are in pharmaceutical process (Contract Manufacturing),we are facing issue whether to allow duplicate lots or not in Branch Plant --> Form --> System Constants

We have below business process, please suggest.

For all Finished Goods that we manufacture , Lot no will be unique for particular Item while It can be duplicated for different Item which means we can have same Lot for  2 different item.

This is because Lot number is given to us by our clients as we are in contract manufacturing.

1. Now if we use 1 or 3 i.e. 'Do not allow duplicate lots' in system constants , system doesn’t allow duplication for different item’s which is required for Finished Goods item.
