any experience with ASM external redundancy on Falconstor

Hello,

at the moment we use ASM with normal redundancy and manage the failgroups within ASM. If the connection to disks of one failgroup fail and, we have to manually bring the diskgroups online again after the connection is their again (alter diskgroup DISKG online  - fast resync). We neither have Exadata nor Oracle Appliance, so we have do perform this manual step.

So someone had the idea to overhand the Redundancy Management from ASM to Falconstor. In this case we would use external redundancy and Falconstor would be responsible for redundancy and not ASM any longer.

So far as I know with Falconstor we can not use preferred read mirror read (we have an extended Cluster - so not having preferred read is a disadvantage, but maybe not a big one, because the servers are not far away and the connection is fast).
