jdk fixes? jdk 8?

I know that Ops center has trouble with jdk1.6.0_71 to 74. Wondering if that's still the case with 1.6.0_71b33 which MOS lists as latest jdk 6 patch of March 25, 2014.

Any word on JDK 8 improving or breaking things?
