HR Custom New Hire Email Attached PDF file is getting corrupted

Hi,

I have created a  package to send email along with PDF file attachment using SMTP.

I am able to send an email along with pdf attachment but unable to open the PDF file. Getting error as 'either is not supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example,it was sent as email as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded )'.

Can someone please let me know why we are getting this error.
