Is it possible to specify the "First Day of Week" for date pickers?

Hi All,

I am looking for a possibility to change the first day of week for Open UI date picker controls. I know there is a setting in user preferences called "First Day of Week", but it only changes the first day for the real calendar view. I am talking about the little date picker controls appearing on every date/time field.

By default, the first day of this date picker is Sunday (which is not correct for a big part of this planet :-) )

I managed to set the first day to "Monday" using developer console via jQuery directly for single controls:
