What's being used for naming method?

Hi All,

We currently use Oracle Internet Directory (OID) as our centralized LDAP repository for directory naming services only. I'm interested to know what others are using as their directory server for database names services and why. For example, are you using:

1. Oracle Internet Directory (OID)

2. Oracle Unified Directory (OUD)

3. Active Directory

4. Other LDAP

5. Local Naming (TNSNAMES.ORA files)

6. Other (what?)

I'm interested to know as well from Oracle representatives on what we should ideally be using for mid-hundreds of databases and the various reasons. I'm thinking of just using our Active Directory to store the directory entries (since we use it for everything else), fronted by our RadiantLogic VDS, and our NetIQ for the provisioning (or maybe VDS)? I look forward to the replies and discussions.
