When you delete an Account...

Hello Gurus,

When you delete a CRMOD Account, does it delete all of the related records associated with the Account?  I have 100s of Accounts that were converted from Leads that I would like to delete but I do not want to lose the Lead information that is currently associated with them.  Is this possible?
