Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Dear All,

I have implemented dataguard successfully and i can ship archivelog from primary database to standby database.

However, I am trying to implement Dataguard Broker but having error as shown above.

The show configuration is as shown below.

DGMGRL> show configuration

Configuration

Name: DGpcard_pry

Enabled: YES

Protection Mode: MaxPerformance

Fast-Start Failover: DISABLED

Databases:

pcard - Primary database

pcard_standby - Physical standby database (disabled)

Current status for "DGpcard_pry":

SUCCESS

I have tried to enable pcard_standby as shown below but to no avail

DGMGRL> enable database 'pcard_standby';

Enabled.

DGMGRL> show configuration

Configuration

Name: DGpcard_pry

Enabled: YES
