Difference between Item Requests & Store orders in SIM.

Hi All,

It is clear that both Item Requests & Store Order functionality in SIM are used for store replenishment.

But what is the individual significance of them. I mean in which scenario or purpose item request/Store order is used by a store person. Is there any major difference?

When can a item request be used & when a store order can be used?

Please clarify.
