Questions regrading GL JE entries and posting from security point of view

Dear GL guru,

Our auditors are asking the following questions and I would like to know If any one know or aware of solutions:

1- Is there a possibility that users with GL Controllers or GL Superuser resposnisibility be able to only post the journal entry and not be able to adjust the Journal entries?

If yes how do you implement the solution.

If no what is the rational behind it? My guess is the user should be able to update GL JEs as needed...

2- Is there a Oracle workflow process that we can enable it so our GL JE successfull imported file to GL then can go to authorized user in Controller's department for validation and approval?
