Good day

We created a Journal in the South African (ZAR) Set of Book. The Journal Currency used is BWP, which is from the Botswana Set of Book.

The Debit and Credit column totals on the ENTERED currency section is exactly the same, (Dt - 9.885,933.30 & Ct - 9,885,933.30), but the Debit and Credit column totals on the CONVERTED currency section NOW DIFFERS with 0.01cent (Dt - R 12,044,265.72 & R 12,044,265.71).

Please see the attached screenshot of the Journal.

I just need to know - my logic tells me that if my Debit and Credit amount is exactly the same under the ENTERED section; then surely the Debit and Credit amounts should be exactly the same under the CONVERTED section as well. Why would the decimals differ between the Debit & Credit amounts?

Howdy, Stranger!
