Order type OC

Hi All, just want to understand what is the purpose of Order Type OC in PO processing. It is hard coded. Can I use it for some other purpose than the intended - a Brazil version. What would be the implications. We can use O1 as well but naming it OC makes more business sense for us. Thank you.
