Internal order status show entered

All internal orders that are created show a status as entered. Internal orders created before the 10-Apr-2014 was working fine showed a status of booking. We cannot manually change the status. Please advise what cause the status to be changed to entered instead of booking, advise how we can correct this as we cannot release any sales orders.
