What is the best Stocking Type for Inventory used in Equipment/Plant Maintenance?

In the A9.1 Equipment/Plant Maintenance Guide in the section on Inventory Concepts and Setup it states that the Stocking Type Code should have a "P" in the second description line. I assume that means in the second description line of the UDC Table entry for System 41/I. Since the table has the "S - Stock Item" is an "M" then what would be a better choice for the Stock Items in the Parts Inventory Item Setup? We are a manufacturer using the JD Edwards MRP process so our finished goods inventory is truely a manufactured "Stock" item. I know that
