Parent-Child vs Group Assets for Multivoucher POs

We have several multi-voucher POs in which the vouchers come through at varied times. We currently create an asset for the first voucher and then adjust that asset as the remaining vouchers come in. We have been researching using the pareent-child or group asset consolidation functions for our multi-voucher POs but are not sure that either option is what we are looking for.  Do you have any recommendations? Is it pssible to hold these vouchers in pre-interface and then consolidate them into one line before running AMPS1000 to move the information from the pre-interface table to the financial tables? The
