Oracle EBS Suite 11i on 11gR2 dbms and database parameters sga_target and sga_max_size

Hi:

We have come on blindly to an implementation of Oracle EBS Suite 11i on 11gR2 enterprise edition of the dbms.  I am going through doc id 216205.1 section 2.6 "Release-Specific Database Initialization Parameters for 11gR2"....

We are currently on the following hardware and OS configuration:

Hardware

    System Configuration        Sun Fire T200

    Hardware Provider        Sun Microsystems

    Number of CPUs        8

    Memory Size (MB)        32640

    Operating System        SunOS 5.10 Generic_144488-17 (64-bit)

1) doc id recommends sga_target = 1G  but when I look at my production database, these are set:

sga_max_size                         big integer 12G
