Services in Configurator ??

Hi,

Wanted some inputs (best practices) regarding implementing 'Services (i.e. service as an items) thru Oracle Configurator.

What we plan to do is to simply create "dummy" items which represent the 'service' items (since service items do not go inside of a bill) so they can live in the model and work with rules and other integration points (pricing for example). Again, these items we put in the bill will not be service items...just place holders for them.

Then, create real service items in inventory.

Next, I plan to create a simple mapping table which tells the place holder which service item it maps to.
