Weblogic fails to start after server reboot

I have installed Weblogic 10.3.6 and managed servers successfully.  After installation,  the start_WebLogic.sh script prompts for weblogic admin ID and password and then continues.  I believe additional steps are required to create boot.properties in order to eliminate the prompt and automate the startup.

But I have not done that yet.   The start_WebLogic.sh and manual entry of ID and password were working fine.  The server was rebooted without prior shutdown of the managed servers , of the weblogic domain,  or of nodemanager.   Now the start_WebLogic script prompts for weblogic admin ID and password as before,  but immediately fails with the  InvocationTargeException caused bu the following
