Brio 8.7 to EPM IR 11.1.2.2 Upgrade

we want upgrade Brio 8.7 reports, scheduled jobs, and all the artifacts version to EPM 11.1.2.2 version. Can we migrate directly to 11.1.2.2 version or do we need to follow upgrade path. Brio environment is in Linux environment and do we need to install Hyperion 11.1.2.2 in Linux environment ? Please advise.
