"invoice date" and the "interface date" in Service Contract

Hi,

In the Service Contract module, please explain the meaning of the "invoice date" and the "interface date". Many times both dates are same (if no offset has been entered).

In attached contract, both dates are different. Please explain meaning and significance of this.
