For Item Cross Reference P41040 Is There a Place To Add Extra Data Fields To Store Information?

Interesting question was brought up regarding a place to store more data for item Cross Reference.


Q: Can the F4104E be used for extra fields for Item Cross Reference as it does not seem to be used anywhere? Need extra data fields for information in item cross reference P41040 information.


A:

The file F4104E Item Cross Reference, while is visibly not populated on the system, is not considered obsolete but is used for compiling purposes. It should not be used for user data purposes. A custom file should be created for data.

Enhancement Bug 18620589 has been created to request User Defined Data (UDD) functionality added in release 9.2 to be added to Item Cross Reference - P41040.
