Alternatives to Oracle 11gR2 RAC

Hi,

We recently purchased a third party insurance application that uses Oracle db.

In the beginning, the vendors mentioned their application supports Oracle RAC environment.

But when we were trying the installation of the application on Oracle RAC 11gR2, the installation was failing.

After spending enough time they came back and told that their application is not created for Oracle RAC environment.  But application works fine on standalone database.

The vendors are not sure when they will be supporting Oracle RAC.

This is a mission critical application and I am looking to create a customized solution for High availability.

If I don’t use Oracle 11g RAC, what are my options to simulate High availability (Golden gate, Oracle Streams etc.
